I've consulted a doctor at the National Skin Center of Singapore twice in the last 3 years. I was given the "Protopic" cream. I found it and still find it troublesome, as it is very oily. I stopped applying to my hands, and just kept it to my eye and face areas. I remembered a guy, whoose face turned a bit "funny" when he shook my "oily" hands ! Ha ha !
Recently I visited another specialist of a private clinic, and he too recommended "Protopic", as it was the most effective, but according to him, it is only effective on the face. He carried to note that, I should rub the cream "into" the skin, at least rub 20-30 times. Now that's something interesting. Was I applying it ineffectively before ?
Next, for the hands, he prescribed "Demovate", twice a day, and also rub it in. So far, it has caused dryness on my skin. I can't see any effect yet. It's been 2 months now, hope it works ..........
Anyone tried other ointment /cream before ?
